WE EVA IN THE CLUB

Posted in WE EVA IN THE CLUB by Zee on the August 13th, 2007

Being that I try to set the standards for ENTERTAINMENT here in AMERICAN SAMOA, I explore a lot of the HOT SPOTS around the island. I’ve got a favorite place of my own but I’ll be posting up reviews of all the other places too. Photo’s should be up shortly. So check out this section if you’re interested in what the night life is like here on island.

This past Friday the EVA thang was down in the bowling alley. It’s got a familiar bar top and a bunch of bartenders and maidens ready to handle your thirst for the worst! It was a small reunion for me and a couple of buddies of mine, but being the youngest of the gang does have its advantages.

As usual the club band brought on the tunes rockin’ their style combining island flavor with hip hop attitude or just plain ragga muffin all the way through. For a club in the 684 you might wanna watch yourself when the lights start strobin’ from above, I’ve noticed some peeps on the dance floor havin’ mini seizures ha ha ha, especially with that alcohol drifting through the blood stream and the humid air of the islands taking effect.

The cool thing about the bowling alley has got to be the pupu’s but you’ve got to have them ordered before 9 p.m. or you’ll find yourself just downin’ cold ones, who says that’s a bad thing thoug? Ha! For my part I had my fill of MGD’s topped off with a classic shot of tequila, dirty dirty! After it was a couple of frequent flier miles on the dance floor with my sweet island women. Well the details of all that will be kept confidential till then check back for where the next hot spot will be!

It was another Friday and I was out again at the usual spot being the Bowling Alley. Things started off slow for the night, we saw a bit of timu (rain) outside and it looked like the guys and I were in for a quiet time but we were ever wrong. Even the band started off slow with their opening songs playing past the 9′ o’clock hour but hey it’s all good times right! IOE! Now the surprise this night was the fact that a bunch of people started crowding the place at around 11:30 p.m. and damn do I mean a lot, the teine’s weren’t too bad either. The whole surprise for the usual folks at the B.A. was the surprise guest appearance of ZIPSO to lay down a couple of his well known tracks with the rest of the crew. It was ok, but looking around at the originals in the bar they were more waiting on their Bowling Alley band to play seeing as they’re a bunch of hardcore loyalists, ISA! We had a great time to say the least…. The booze was plenty but most of all, the company of good friends tops it all off, gives ya that nostalgic feelin’ (auoi nefu le channel!). So tune in next time, for more about the night out scenes.

Ok I’ll be honest, I don’t know when I’m going to check out other bars and clubs but for now, it’s still rockin’ at the alley. Last friday was one of those packed from the beginning to the end stories. I noticed a bunch of very friendly people fillin’ the house and I give that an A Plus for decency. IOE! I usually walk to the Alley from work, get a good warm up goin’ for the night but damn the rain came down like buckets. I was only 50 yards away too. The lure of the bar and the company of good friends was too much to keep from waiting on at 8 p.m. so I made a 50 yard dash for it. Got me all friggin’ wet but luckily I had on a black button up so no one noticed. The only downside is drying off going home that night, then catchin’ a cold with all this tropical weather goin’ around. It was alright for the most part, met a lot of new people, which you usually do up in there. Yep good ol’ time! ISA! Then came the next day!

Waddya know, I also hit the same spot on Saturday. I don’t know though, I was kinda out of it, still recovering from Friday choo hoo! I noticed from experience that the crowd on Saturdays hella differs from the crowd on Fridays. I’m geared more towards the Friday crowds I guess. Well nothing excitin’ happened on a Saturday. It was the usual. I do look forward to seeing others post up about their experiences in any of the bars or clubs out here in American Samoa. Till then party on!

I’m posting this in reply to Pepesa Tobiasson,

Ok here’s the breakdown of the bars/clubs here in American Samoa. Most likely you can look at all of them as bars but if you’re of the younger generation you can call them clubs…. Heck just call them whatever you like ha ha ha! Let’s get started.

So far there are now 4 major bars/clubs which almost everyone here knows about. There was a fifth called Playerz but it was torn town for renovations. I know there are a couple of other minor ones out there but the four I’ll talk about here are the most popular in Americna Samoa. These hot spots are listed in alphabetical order.

First it’s the Bowling Alley in Tafuna, second is the Country Club (a.k.a CC’s) at Iliili Golf Course, the third is down in Pago Pago village and it’s called Evalani’s (a.k.a) Evies. The fifth and final bar/club is in Fogagogo village, known as Maliu Mai’s! Ok now let’s get into a summary of what each Hot Spot is all about.

Personally I’ve had a lot of experience with The Bowling Alley and CC’s. They both rock live bands, but lately the Bowling Alley has been mixing it up with DJ time playing popular songs from the mainstream. Both places are very safe places to be, I mean who are we kidding, there are bound to be bar brawls but literally these two places have bouncers that will keep the order throughout the night and the rest of the early morn as long as their on the clock.

CC’s is proud of the fact that the owner and bartenders will be lookin’ out for you just in case you’ve had to much alcohol for the night. They will gladly have a taxi take you home. It’s also got a very spaced out interior allowing for good ventilation, especially when you’ve got people lightin’ it up in there every few seconds. They’ve got a good variety of drinks for serving and prices range from $3 and up but less than that during happy hours. The waitresses have their own style goin’ and are pretty quick to the order. The biggest thing yet which you know we’ve gotta talk about is the restrooms, from what I’ve seen they’re well managed. The crowd at CC’s is made up of a majority people come from the western half of American Samoa. The band that plays at CC’s is known as the Night Hawk Band from Vailoa village. They’ve got a mix of Reggae and Hip Hop to their songs with the occasional Samoan Jam thrown in for good effect. I recommend CC’s if you enjoy big spaces during your party nights and listenin’ to the island music and aren’t lookin’ to go further than iliili to get your drank on!

The Bowling Alley, what can I say? It’s the Spot for me every Friday night, just because it’s right across the street from my office and I’ve got a couple of good buddies there who made me take a vow to always show up Friday night ha ha ha! That’s what I call convenience. Yep, lots of experience with this spot. Run by a Korean couple who I’ve become good friends with, the atmosphere is a mix of all the other bar/clubs combined. This place is known for the flexibility of the band to mimic and recreate popular mainstream songs after a day or two of practice. As I’ve mentioned before they mix it up with a DJ’s touch so that when the band want’s a breather the tunes come blastin’. Now one of the coolest things about the Alley is that they serve pupu’s all the way up to 1 a.m. in the morn and damn them pupu’s are hella good when you’ve got alcohol in the system. It get’s very packed at times and I’ve noticed that when it’s about 12 a.m. people like to quit the other bar/clubs and hit the Alley for some booty shakin’ and hip grindin,’ seriously. You get a wide variety of people in there because the Alley is found in the busiest part of the American Samoa surrounded by the off-island fast food places like Mcy Dee’s, Pizza Hut, KFC, and even Checkers! The restrooms are well managed just like CC’s. The waitresses are ok, not as fast as CC’s but I guess because there are so many orders at one time but who knows. Safety again is not an issue, you’ll always wanna be sure of yourself anyways because it’s a night bar/club, anything can happen. The drink prices between CC’s and the Bowling Alley aren’t that different, they have a variety of their own drinks too and well, they’re not too different lol! I recommend this Spot when you feel the urge to meet new people hella fast, or you’re lookin’ to party till you drop.

Evalani’s: Well I’ve only been to this Spot twice. I liked each time but damn they both ended with the place in a uproar with the brawlin’ that goes on. One of the reason’s I don’t hit Evie’s too often is the distance, Livin’ out in Amanave don’t make it any easier with the Police doin’ their rounds every now and then. The crowd at Evie’s is the usual crowd you’d get out there in the states with them hip hop clubs. It’s the Spot for the East Siders and they are all about their DJ music so that’s what set’s them apart from the rest of the others. That’s about all I can say from my two-sperience there. I recommend this place if you want a familiar style of partying.

The last one is Maliu Mai’s. I know very little about this bar/club as of yet but I’ll try to find out. I can’t recommend it just yet so stay tuned. I hope this helps out with the outlook on bars/clubs here. Hit me up if any of you have more questions about the HOT SPOTS!

My bad Pepesa! I’ve kinda been fighting to survive the backlash of living on an island in the middle of nowhere. To answer your question you can find most the fui’s at the Bowling Alley in Tafuna and at Evalani’s downtown.

What up Rev and holla out to Samoan Savage!

Naw Savage they’re cool it’s all that alcohol talking which most the times gets the adrenaline pumping a little too hard. Anyhow the group tends to have the peacemakers with them at all times, me being one of them, to keep from doing too much damage lol. The BAD BOY shirts are part of their BOWLING TEAM uniform which I’m sponsoring through ZNI ENTERTAINMENT. I pretty much designed the whole thing with a couple other designs available soon.

So far the Bowling Alley band’s been missing one member who is off island for a month, they’re not at full blast yet, when the guy returns you’ll get to experience them at their best.

Well that’s most of what I got for now, yo Rev. I didn’t forget ya man, you comin’ this Friday? Well see you there bro, Savage seems your about to become a regular too not bad at all holla when ya wanna Uce.

What up Uso’s I see we’re just about gettin’ us a crowd in here. Sole sorry guys bout the updates being a bit late. My full timer has been keepin’ my azz busy, I thought comin’ back to the islands was goin’ to be kick back but then again it aint that simple. Anyhow any of you been out to the other clubs or bars on island lately?

I checked out a place called TAPS out in the Tafuna area near COST-U-LESS. It’s got the right kind of atmosphere for the hip-hop party crowd. Not bad at all, it’s a change from all the live bands being brought up in the bars and clubs nowadays. The age range of TAPS’ crowd falls in line with college students and all. Most of us who’ve lived the clubbin’ life out in the U.S. will find ourselves feelin’ more in tune with the happenings going on at TAPS.

Well uso’s that’s my review of the moment. I know you all have got some of your own so lets post up and see what’s crackin’ out there.

Ok it’s another week and another story. Last Friday I started at the B.A. with the usual crew, things were lookin’ a bit boring, so the fella’s all decided we’d change locations, being a guy comin’ from way out West on these islands we ended up going over to the Far East into Pago Territory, home of the Pago Eagles.

The spot was called Karaoke, which was a bit ironic cuz when I got there I didn’t see anyone singin’ tunes from a Back Street Boys song or trying their best to give their own rendition of Hotel California. It was small, packed to the rim, and smoke everywhere… But the music was blastin’ and the people were dancin and that’s just the way I like it.

The guys I was with were home so they were enjoyin’ it a bit more, there’s always that saying you should always score on the home field. Did I score? Well let’s just say that’s a story for another time…

    Wassup Uso’s!

Wassup Tamasamoa, hey Z and to Rev”D”…hope ya’ll doing good. How was the weekend fo ya’ll? i see Z been doin a little site seen this past weekend, doin it Pago style this time @ the Karaoke night Club ya? das cool, i kinda like it there. Its not bad. But i do agree on the “Too much Smoke” in the building. Man, i tell you, they need hella big time attention to that @ the Karaoke. Well, i was @ the B.A friday night and Z was right man, it was getting boring there my dudies and i took a short cruise to check out TAP’S. I have to admit, it wasnt bad at all. I like the music but, the crowd needed to go. I dont know if they stress the NO ONE UNDER 21 IS ALLOWED! I saw some of my cousins there and they are like between the ages of 18 - 20. And nobody is doing anything bout it? thats not right. What do you think Rev”D” i should ask you this question. Z? wat do you think? Tamasamoa? i need ya’ll to answer that. I need feedback ont his Allowing underage kids into Bars and night clubs.

I like it at the B.A’s ya know. Im a hip hop freak but, to enjoy the night without any young Moepi tryin to me all Gangstahz and cus trouble right? das why i think B.A’s the place to go have fun and enjoy the night out. Especially with The BOD BOYZ in the House, what can go wrong? Rev”D” and the Good Boys turn Bad can woop thier Ass and have the Boucers throw them out. and after that? its like nothing happens.

Ok, boyz…its time fo me to get on outah hea but, i tell ya’ll, B.A’s the place to enjoy a night out with friends. Especially when the BAD BOYS are in the house. The make sure no body mess up the night of fun and excitement.

    Talofa lava uso’s-

Its Tamasamoa here back to see my uso’ up in hea. Hey Rev”D” talofa lava i lou susuga ile alii faife’au. Malo lava ile soifua maua ma le lagi mama. How you doing Z wassup to Samoan Savage! guys i think we have something going on here right guys? i mean, this chat place is getting some attention that it needs. I told a couple of friends about this site and they assure me that they will check it out. Ok, to the subject of “Underage kids” that are allowed in the clubs is a slap in the face for the ASG, the parents and Samoa as a whole and to the community. Am.Samoa is trying to STOP! this from happening but, its the business people (Club Owners) are the ones braking the law. The place where i see most under age kids at is Tap’s & Karaoke clubs. They need to stop this practice. Help these youth of today for a better tomorow. What i see is Bar owners allowing these kids into clubs to make a quick buck? just think of it- a quick Buck vs that young man or girls future?????? that quick buck dosent come close to helpin our youth be the future of this country.

Anyways, hey Rev”D”. I have a story to tell since i read Savages post bout the Bad Boys. And at the same time, i THANK YOU! Last friday it was kind slow at the B.A’s and the DJ SUCK! some guys at the front table were screemin and yellin and making so much noise. I think they from Nu’uuli. So , got up and danced with my girl and our friends. So, later on, this one guy from that group came over to our table and asked one of my friends if she would like to dance. She said no and he got angry and hit the table. Me sittin there like, Holy S***, this guy is with 10 other guys and here i am the only guy at our table. I was dead scared and right when he hit the table, Rev”D” turned and looked our way and i told that guy, Sole, you see my friends at the Bar? he turned and Rev”D” was facing us and i said, those are the BAD BOYS! those are my friends. He turned to my Female friend and appologise for hitting the table and wont do it again..hahahaha chooo chooo! Thank you Bad Boys for saving my ASS and thank you REV”D” for looking out my way when I NEEDED IT! I owe you guys a round. To the Bad Boys, Thank you so much! To Rev”D”, Z, Dennis, Tony and April? Able (not sure) my bad im sorry. Thank you guys for being there. Its ure is safe to be at the BA’s when you guys are there.

    Take care ya’ll,

Damn I leave this mug for a minute and come back to all these comments up here, that’s what I call interest. Alright let’s start off wit my boy Savage’s comment, Hell to yeah we don’t need no 18 - 20 kid up in the clubs killin’ the trip. It’s all on the owners though, I’ve talked to a couple club owners out here and I’ve noticed that they all like live bands cuz the high payin’ high rollin’ crowds come out for that. The same goes for places like Rubbles and Country Club. Usually when you have the youngin’s they don’t pay for anything and just stand there wantin’ to be noticed, even at the cost of startin’ a ruckus, so in the long run its bad business, and a potential for a bad rep. But ya’ll know how American Samoa functions, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know, so probably that’s how some of the youngin’s get in, all the experiences of growin’ up I guess, but they will have to learn to accept the consequences of their actions. As for the B.A. lettin’ in youngin’s I was hella surprised by that detail, they’re one of the strict ones on that policy, I’ma have to check wit them on what’s goin’ on bout that, last Friday was a kinda off night at the B.A. but it still doesn’t mean the should let up their I.D. watch… Thanks for the info bro I’ll look into it and try to see if we can make somethin’ happen.

Out to Tamasamoa, I noticed from the side of my eye the Rev. was in one of his stare down moments, I’m glad it was u and the crowd he was watchin’ over. We’re all veterans of what happens when someone ruins the trip of the night while others are tryin’ to have a good time, usually its when the guys get to bustin’ heads, and I’m left calmin’ the nerves of the crew so nothin’ else gets busted in the process. It’s a hard knock life but we all live it. In general everyone should be havin’ a good time but not at the cost of other people’s fun.

Wat up Equalizer! So I guess I’ll finish the story, out there on the Dark Side it was a different crowd and atmosphere but I was way too gone off them MGD’s to even care, all I knew was the music was bumpin’ and the women were grindin’ so the Bad Boys decided to put me on the dance floor wit one of the regulars, I remember being pushed on the floor then the next I knew it was rhythm and strut all the way through. It was hella jam packed like I’ve been sayin’ before but it was all good!

I hope the Bowlin’ Alley Band members feelin’ a lil’ better this Friday cuz we’re all long due for some major partyin’. I was dustin’ off my old D.J. skillz to see if the owner wanted to hire me to get things grindin’… We’ll see about that soon.

As for the best Club on island, I’ma have to sit this one out, I like em’ all so far! Each has there postive’s and negatives dependin’ on the type of hangout session u lookin’ for at the time. Well people that’s it for now.. See ya’ll out in there when “WE EVA IN THE CLUB!”

    What up Errbody!

Choo Hoo! We gotz beboz up in hea! Shout outs to Z - for an awesome forum! Yes “WE EVA IN THE CLUB!” thanks for the reply bro! MGD is da bomb beer! It does get kinda crowded @ Karaoke, but it does get CRUNK! The underage “patrons” does need to be checked! Wussup Z! Yup, I was at work and Dennis and Rev D walks in and pays me a visit. I wanna really thank The Bad Boys for always supportin’ the BA. Espeacially the band. It’s no fun if I don’t see my boys at the bar. I mean c’mon now,..what’s the BA without the Bad Boys?…..ya know?
The Band has been on a short break last week and should be back this week. Things have been kinda hectic lookin for an extra singer and piano player since one of our singers left to NZ for a lil break. To be honest, I needed a break myself…..yet,….I ain’t gonna lie, I missed the stage! Go figure.
Yup, Dennis and Rev D filled me in on what it ws like last week friday and saturday at the BA. I kinda criged at their report……whooooeeeee!
I was thinking of having Toni and Abel up there to help us out on stage with Rev D on the piano and Dennis could DJ for our break. What say you????…..hahahahaaaaa! Sounded good though, yeah? Much love to my boys!!!!! But yeah, on a real though,,,,,we should be back this week. So lookin forward to Friday to seein ya’ll thea!!!!!
Good job on your website, brother! Malo lava! So til then,…late!!!!!!

WOW! watzup! mah peeplz? how in the world did this happen? looks we got a crowd upin hea! its good to be back with more in tact. Watz up EQ? good to have you in on this BLOG….To mah bro Tamasamoa, I think you owe our brothers “The BAD BOYS” not A round but, a whole case (or 2..hehehe) and a Glass of Red Wine for RevD who with devine intervention turned around right when you needed help. So, all you people who think the Bad Boys are really what the name says, are DEAD WRONG! With RevD and the help from above, what can go wrong? If everybody just keep their cool and dont bother other clubbers, than everything will be alright! To mah Boy Able? sorry bro for misspelling of your name. And to the one and pnly “Z” the man with the Master Plan. So, you got your groove on @ the Karaoke club huh? das good. So, which one of you will be he DJ this friday? Z or EQ? i would leave it up to EQ coz he’s the “Equalizer!” and he knows what to do (no offence “Z”) Shout out to mah new Best friend RevD Im still waitin on what TamaSamoa’s answer to my request. I suggest that Tamasamoa buy not round that he mentioned before but a whole case or two and a Glass of Red Wine for you RevD cos if it wasnt for you turning around, he would’ve got’n his butt kicked by the Nu’uuli boys.

So, i think its a good idea that he do that right RevD? what do you think EQ? and you Z? i thnik so! maybe we all need to get to know the Bad Boys! They seem to have fun every friday. I like that Tah, Tah, Tah, and ya’ll banging on the table and screem and yell at the same time rasing ya’ll beer saying cheers to everybody?…i like that! Keep it up Guys. Its even cooler if ya’ll do it when the song ends. in that way we all can hear it!

Ok mah “Eva in da Club” familiahz, ya’ll have a great day and i’ll c ya’ll later.

Isa! Now this is what I’m talkin’ bout, I knew there had to be a bunch of Party goers out there, it was just a matter of time before we all started puttin’ our two cents into the mug and all. Yo M, welcome to our humble info hideout! So I don’t need to fill you in on the details about last weekend but I know you’ll be back up there this weekend struttin’ on stage the way you do cuz we all got ya back.

To my Uso EQ I’ma step aside and let ya have dibs on the D.J. gig if u up for it, just talk to Mrs. Ki about it, if u need introductions holla and we’ll see if we can make that happen quick. Most likely it would help keep the B.A. from goin’ a bit into the blues when the Band is out on emergency leave. I suggested to her a couple of times if she mixes the D.J. with the Band more often she’d get a hella high rollin money givin’ crowd out there.

Choo hoo! did I hear rounds being called, well Uso’s it’s all your call but remember what goes around comes around ha ha ha! That being said ya’ll need to hit that Tequila once before startin’ on the beers, let it sit for 30 minutes then the magic takes effect…. Psychedelicly woooohoooo! Well see ya’ll in the club!

    Z out!

Hi Yalls, i dont have “Secret Identity” fisrt of all, and do not know who Tamasamoa is personlly. Sup Tama, hey Z, EQ RevD and to my wonderful friend M&M. Ok, M&M, you asked for it (including u RevD). My ID? well, i know “RevD” for quite a while now hehehe sorry Rev, but, you Coached at Samoana High back in the days and thats how i know RevD. I was one of his students. RevD, all of us cannot forget you and what you’ve done for us and for Samoana High. You must be proud when you hear your boys Isaac Sopo’aga, Domata Peko and Matt Toea’ina’s names being called out on National Television in the NFL a ea Coach? wow! ok, back to M&M….whew! so you see M&M, EQ and Z, its who your with at the club is why i admire all you guys. Deon (RevD) is a cool of a person when i’ve first met him in 1998 and Samoana High. We used to call RevD Mr. Plan B because he dosnt give a rats A** about who & what you want to be when you grow up. Its all about what your going to do when Plan “A” dont work out. Thats why we admire Mr. RevD…. alrighty than, thats all i need to say about me this time. Now, its time to see who Tamasamoa is right M&M? cool! And no, M&M i dont think the Rev wants to do Stand-up comedy..hehehehe….i mean, Rev can really chewup somebody when given the mic alright? just ask Isaac Sopo’aga. Rev Chewed him up and our priciple and other teachers during one of our School Assemblies and after that Kicked Isaac’s Ass on the Practice field right after. Oh well, i need to find a ride home. Im off of work now. Oh, M&M? I live in Nu’uuli. I’ll see you all next time. RevD? you didnt answer M&M’s question on “Whats this weeks sermon”?.lmao @ M&M’s Eat, Drink and be Merry..lmao. I would do the same with RevD if someone be opening the lid on mah life. Anyways, hope you all are having a blast of a week. Mine is ok. Holla to EQ, Z, Savage and The one and only, M&M! hey, i invited other friends to join in on this website and to check it out! hows that sound RevD? Z? EQ?M? well, i think its good for the business. Anyways, i would like to touch in on the Band situation? I think its a GOOD idea to have the Band back @ the club. Im 27 yrs old and i do like the DJ BUT, you have to be very stupid if your Club owner and you preffer a DJ?…nothing @ you my Uso Z..nothing @ you at all…this is my own opinion. Last week was ok. Its was PACKED TO THE MAX! but, it brouight in a younger crowd and theat alone spells trouble. I saw this at CC, Taps and at Evies. CC’s & Taps got the point of having Dj will bring in trouble and having a Live Band will not only briong a good crowd but most importantly will bring in the money makers, the heavy loaders. I tell you that is true. My uncle used to rund CC back in the days. My cousin was the DJ and he did bring inthe crowd but, he didnt bring in the right crowd. The ones who sre out to have fun and a good time and to enjoy the Live Music. So, they did have a full house but, not bringing in the dough. So, they made a Deal with the CC riders. This is so crazy but, that was RevD’s band. OMG! The CC riders blasted DJ Kelly. Everything the DJ plays the Band took it to the next level. Thats why im all game with the fact the BA’s getting their band togather. If its something like the CC riders or the Band that was with the BA’s like 3 years ago, with Shaggy (Chris)hey, high rollers will come, along with the $$$$$GREENS$$$$$..hahahahaha, i dont know why im talking bout this.hehehehe chooo hooooo! Hey Z? why dont you try running the band? maybe you’d help bring in the Big Dawgs with the Mulahz? huh? hows dat? ok, bro. im out but keep this thing rolling high dawg. EQ,M&M, SAVAGE? you all have a great day and stay blessed. RevD? you the bomb ~D~ or maybe you should do the band. Work your magic. You know alot of people. Use your bag of Magic and bring in the Money making dawgs. Im always there cos of you! and its not just me..im hookin up with all our peeps to gathered at your Temple every friday night..hahahahahaha…i told them bout everything they need to know about the Chapple-hahahaha. ia, ua lelei alii Faife’au. I will catch you later.

Lol! It’s all G Uso’s! Ya’ll make one helluva good point with the DJ vs Band part, I’ma hold my 2 cents on that discussion till its the right time to make it happen and of course American Samoa does have its high roller crowd indeed, we’ve also gotta remember times change and the role of high rollers change as well, so there will always be an opportunity for both bands and DJ’s alike!

Other than that I’m ready to get back to rollin’ down the booze cuz its 2 mo days left till d-day!

O yea don’t forget to keep it posted on my general website for updates comin’ the second week of June 2008, I’m sure this island is in for the biggest wake up call since the Missionaries landed in Leone! Choo Hoooooo!

Props out to all the party people in here!

YOu know Rev D be doin dat as well…who doesn’t, huh? Lol! Savage, wea u at guy? I hope you didn’t let Rev D get to you…he’s just temperamental like dat….or maybe just mental!LOL! Peace, Rev D! I know I’m gonna see you again tonite at the BA so I ain’t aiming for a knock in da head. TamaSamoa,..always good to see you posting up msgs up in hea. Were it not for you, EQ and Savage,…this site wouldn’t be much fun….yeah, I know …I haven’t forgotten Z and Rev D. How can I ?
Yup, I was at the BA last nite going thru a few songs with our new piano player…it was pretty good. We got another piano player coming in today from Apia with another singer and I’ve gots to try them out on stage as well. No doubt, if Rev D don’t like ‘em ,…they outtie! So basically, we gonna have new members in our band…but i think it will take ‘em a few days to get use to our pace. It’s a totally different style from what we do here then what their use to up there in apia.Do I make sense?
EQ, I don’t know how my voice will hold up this week. Last nite was …something. That’s what I get for not singing for two three weeks a ea? Hopefully I’ll be able to hold. I wouldn’t want to disapoint any of ya’ll.
Alright my bruthas,..nuff said. I gots to jet! Hope ya’ll be safe this week…til friday!…..yaayah! Late!

Im sorry Rev. Ok, that wasnt why i wanted to post this morning but, i wanted to put in my 2 cents in for something i see happening too often. That is seeing young people getting it twisted in the world down under. I’ve read all of our blogs and what each one of us has wrote, and i could help but get errked and one of our brothers comments and the way he say it. My brother Z? reading all that you posted and others as well, i’ve notice that you’ve seem….ummm…let me see…BIG HEADED! now, im sorry if im rude in saying it but, im talking from experience. EQ said you “Saved” BA’s last friday & saturday nights? and to see how you reacted to that was mind bobbling bro. Belive me, i was there both nights. You know whats funny Z? WE TALKED! you didnt even know who i was cos i didnt tell you. BUt, judging from the way you were acting and talking, you were too self centered, conceited or EGOTISTICAL!!!! now, im not attacking you bro but, i’ve seen people who attended School, Lived and raised off-island and upon returning, think that they can make a difference in a blink of an eye or the same speed things are in the Big US of A…bro. my advise to you? bring it down to the Samoan level because the speed of the Main Land life style aint never going to work or compete with the relax, down to EARTH cruise life style that we ALL are used to from generations passed up to us now. Again bro, this isnt an attack on what your trying to do but, take it easy bro. if you dont, it will never get you anywhere. With all my respect for you brother. As for the Band vs DJ? i’ll take the band for $1,000.00 please. I like to see our own local peeps rocking the house!

Whoa! i cant stop laughing at this site. Hi there ya’ll, im GreatWhite but, ya’ll can call me GW. hey Sina, wea you at? thanks for telling me bout your site. aight, you dont know me very well but, we talked last week Saturday at the BA’s and boy it was packet. Im a big fan of the “DJ” world but, moving back home was way different story. Which brings me to the topic ya’ll been talkin bout. Band vs DJ at the Club or how do you say it? “Chapple”??..hahaha…das a good one. As far as the Band go’s, i think it suits the island and its people. Samoaans are Musician’s and fine artists we are. I preffer Band over DJ mainly because i like live music. True we can all listen to songs from a CD but, wouldnt it be nice if we could see and support our very own people entertaining live? i know i would. Now, as for our conversation last Saturday Sina..sorry i’ve only met you once and sorry if i miss pronounce your name brother. I have come to learn that you have alot of ideas, and GOOD ideas but, from what i’ve learnd about you and your ideas Sina is that you have no Patiance! The way you should do things here in Am.Samoa is to take your time. Have enough time to plan for your dream plan. But, the ket thing is PLANING!!!! if you have enough time put in planining your ideas, im sure you’ll be successful in the future….This is my help to you my fellow Samoan brother: Have time to sit down and plan ahead. Slow down and smell the roses. Plus, when we talked at the club that friday & saturday nights, you were up in the sky man. Its good your into it but, be very careful. The attitude that you showed me that night was nothing short of Self-Centered person. C’mon Z? if you could take it nice and slow it’ll take yoiu there but, if you want to take the shorter lane, all you get is heartache and heartbreaks! If you and RevD, EQ,M&M and the “Bad Boys” are there every fridays, you might as well, form a band. I see RevD was in a Band before? huh? and you Sina?

Well, i guess i got my point through. And i hope your listening Sina because, dont let the future run you. YOU run the future.

ok peoples, im not satisfied with this today but, i’ll be able to make it 2morow.

ok, EQ, M&M, RevD, T.Samoa/Savage especially to Sina! you take care uce and think like an Smaoan.

Friday has finally come! Now it’s time to kick it into gear and handle the nights partying till we drop! Malo to all my Uso’s and Sis M, especially to Savage, thank you for the constructive criticism. In all respect I definitely know where you’re coming from about me coming from off island trying to make things happen here in American Samoa.

In the manner of being too too self centered, conceited or EGOTISTICAL, in reality if you’ve gotten to know me better than one or two bar meets you’d find that I’m far removed from the terms, it’s interesting to know that just after Friday and Saturday I’m being looked upon in that way, but when you think about it, it’s the game face party animal in me that gets rockin’ when things go bumpin just right, its the way I’ve been and it’s me, I just make sure I’m not bothering anyone with it to a point where their being stressed out or anything.

From my experience here in American Samoa I’ve noticed that there are those who abhor change yet crave it for this island, a contradictory in terms of logic. A wise man once said “change is inevitable whether most want it or not.” With entertainment and all that I’ve done I want to make sure that the change American Samoa will be receiving is in favor of everyone on island especially us. Truth be told, all my life people have been telling me that I can’t change Samoa, right up to my own family members, yet I still keep trucking because I know where my heart is set!

This website, my work as a filmmaker, and also most everything I’ve done throughout my entire 18 years of living in American Samoa has been about making it happen here and now. We young one’s are of a new highly advanced generation, we have the means, the skills, and the experience to do it, that’s why we come back from our journeys out in the world, we have brought the elixir of greatness to share with all, it’s just a matter of who wants a piece of it and is willing to join the cause.

This forum itself, being about night life partying as it is, has seen much attention and discussion in the span of two and a half weeks, my brothers and sisters I thank all of you for that, this is MAKING IT HAPPEN! This is what ZNI ENTERTAINMENT is all about!

I’ll see you all tonight people and may all the blessings of good faith be with you!

    P.S.
Don’t forget to write about it here!

    Z my brother,

Its the kind of critisim that helps you focus on the main point. YOUR DREAM! Like i said before, we met and talked but, i never told you who i am. I like it and i’ll keep it that way until its time for me to spell out my name..lol. Anyways brother, i know exacly where your coming from and you too should know where im coming from and what my point is. American Samoa is not quite up to SPEED in developments and especially in terms of TECHNOLOGIES! We Samoans, we tend to more on the cautious of our every move. We make baby steps way before we even think of running! A new change Z is a great idea but, if you want to “Make It Happen” brother, like i said before, you need to plan ahead. Look at all the options you got and take it nice and slow. When you get the feel of it and you know in your heart that your ready, than my brother, Run as fast as you can and never look back. My point is my dear Brother, you can never “Make It Happen” if you dont plan it out. Have patiance my brother. You see, this is what my Father used to say to me before he passed. He always tells me ” Son, there is a purpose why God has put each and everyone of us on earth. And that is to help eachother out in time of needs and distress because everyone will go through distress in one point or another in his or her lifetime. but the greatest help you can give to a person is encouragement and love” and the other thing that he always reminds me is Love your friends because God has brought you to him/her and her/him to you. Just make sure its a He or a SHE and not a Heshe..lmao. jokes! anyways, im sure you’ve shared your ideas and thoughts with the “BADBOYS” and im sure they like your ideas and im sure they too gave you words of advice and wisdom.

As for this site? My brother i love this site! It brings the best in each and everyone of us. We can talk about the “CHAPPLE” and RevD’s Midnight Sermon but, we can also help eachother out on this Blog right? i know i am…lol. but, we can never “Make it happen” if all we do is TALK about it! we need to get it in gear…but first things first: PLAN IT OUT! like i said befire my brother, you cant run if you never learned to walk and you’ll never Walk if you’ve never learned to Crawl. You can ask your friends to help out Z. See, you Got your Boys to help you. Thats what friends are for. Especially RevD! He’s the one that has the right tools for everything. Belive me, RevD can give hella good advice brother! Trust me, when he talks, everybody listens because we all know RevD can not only talk the talk, he can walk the walk. More like WALK THE TALK!…hehehehe. He’s a more of a Getting Things Done! kinda guy.

Ok, my brother, i’ll let you off the hook now..hahahaha..but, you never know how much help you could get if you only ask.

To all my peeps up in hea, i got nothing but love fo ya’ll.
    Take care and much blessings,

Lets see if we can change the scene up in hea…to those of you who was at the BA this weekend…espeacially on friday,…I apologize. The band was um…experimenting. And yes I’m gonna thank my boy Z for saving my butt this time round. The boys that are in the are all inexperienced. So yeah,…I’m trying to break ‘em in. Why Mrs. Ki set me up with newbies,I don’t know.
However, Saturday nite the boys (the band ) did sooo much better. I mean,..they weren’t as jumpy as friday. But still I ‘ve got a long way to go with them. To the BAD BOYS,…thank you for always keeping an eye out for me. Friday nite just wasn’t rite for me and the BAD BOYS saw me hurting….durring my break Abel and Dennis were my comfort….thank you!
Z, I really enjoyed working with you on stage. You the SH–!!!!
EQ,TamaSamoa,Savage,…we gave a shout out to ya’ll that friday nite.
GreatWhite-welcome to the clan. Hope to hear more from you. But anyway,..I’m hoping things will look up for us (the band members) soon.

In terms of the Band vs DJ debate, it’s official, a DJ looses out 5 to 1 in favor of live bands in the bars and clubs.

My sistah! M&M, ya know I got your back, and damn gurl you know yoiu had the spot light wit each song, o yea I finally found that No Air song lol! I like it I like it! I noticed the new members a bit shy on the mike M, but give em’ more encouragement and they come out swingin’ just like Saturday night ya’ll were workin’ it and gettin’ into the zone sweeeeeeeet!

Friday and Saturday were interestin’ nights, yep M had me make that shout out to all the boys up in hea I hope ya’ll heard it cuz ya’ll know we got nothin’ but love for ya’ll!

Now the next topic I wanna put out on the hot seat, best hard liquor or mixed drink to start the night off here in American Samoa! Any one got some pointers?

We all know, when you focus to hard on one thing, you tend to forget about everything around you!

Savage! Man you droppin’ knowledge on our bruddah! You startin’ to sound like a real student of the Rev! lmao!!! For all the criticism our bruddah is getting this week, you got to give it to him for keeping the party going Friday night!

Hi Everyone, this is my first time on this site. Sofar, i read all your msgs that were posted. I would like to say Talofa to everyone in here: Z, EQ, M&M, TamaSamoa, Samoan Savage, GreatWhite and RevD. I couldn’t stop laughing at your Nilkk on this site Dion. RevD?..hahahaha! thats good one. I like it, its BOLD. anyhoots, last saturday was my first time at the bowling alley night club and my first impression was: This place is Rock’in but, too many roudy people. I wasn’t sure about the crowd. I didnt like the Fia Fusu young kids that were in the club. I was kind of shy and hesitant to make a move that night. Not until i asked one of my friends to introduce me to this Good looking guy who i thought was standing on stage and watching everyone dance (including me) - lol. I asked all my girlfriends that were with me that night of what they thought of this dude walking around the club and not dancing or even drinking or having a good time. Im suprised they all know him and said not a single bad thing about this guy. im like, What! so, braviley went up to him (very unsusual for a girl) and asked him to dance with me. Thats how i come to know Mr. “RevD”…Who says you cant find a Good friend in the clubs?-lmao.

Anyways, i do agree with all who supports that BAND over DJ. In my own opinion, i would rather sit, sippin on my mixed drinks and enjoy a live band. Especially when its my own people are singing. Samoan have the most beautiful voices in all of the South Pacific. But, if you ask me of what i think of the BA’s? i’d say need more Ventalations, remodelings and Bartenders who knows how to mix the damn drinks. Sorry, RevD, i know its your spot but, i just want to put in my 2 cents like you said. :-)

Ok, i need to go now before i get a phone call from the Rev - lol.

Have a good one ladies and gents.
    Kiwibabe.

    Hi everyone:)

Hope all is good ya kno. Holla at my peps up in hea: M&M, EQ, Z , T.SAMOA, GW, and new comer Kiwibabe. Imma holla at you later Kiwibabe. I gots some talking to do wit you!..if ya kno wadda mean! So, hows the week been sofar with everyone? mine was ok. Off from School and right to doing the Fe’aus at home. Last weekend was aight. Went out on Saturday night and saw the Rev. and his new found friend * cough * Yo Z? you been doin alot of changes on your muzik huh brother? thats good! i liked your muzik sofar. Man, i tell ya’ll, BA’s gotten packed in the last 3 weeks. Its good but, when it’s full to the MAX? its bad business. BA needs to have more Vents for fresh air and to release all the smoke inside outside. But, i like the older crowd i see somewhere in there. Not the younger and useless kids i see at BA’s now. anyhow, its good to see the sun out today. Now, imma turn my attention to our new friend Kiwibabe!

Talofa and welcome to the site. I need not to update you on this site & who is on this blog. And im sure you dont know me by my Nikk Name: Samoan Savage! But, if i am correct, your the Girl from New Zealand? well, all i got to say is GO REVD!!!! - - LMAO! Man i tell you, Rev’s got the move and the Game on his hands - -LMAO! ok, rev. im sorry i didnt mean to spill the coffee but, makua seki a lou Keige ile Saturday night. WOW!

Ok, change the subject: Oh, Rev i saw on the Door at the Club that it needs Waitress, Securities, and Bartenders? what going on? everyone is leaving the club? or maybe they moved to bigger and better things. I do hope so and not something else. Hey Zena? you spinning this weekend? sure do hope so. I like those old school and up to date jams you put out there. I like the Labamba - - LMAO! chuuuhooooo! i like it when you hit’em wit the Labamba right after the Party People hit - lmao!

Ok, i need no more to say but, have a good week and RevD? you lucky man!:-)

    Saty Safe,
    The Wild Samoan Savage!

    Talofa once again to everyone!

Hi Savage, malo lava le soifua maua. Fa’afetai mole fa’afeiloa’iga. E muamua lava ona ou fia faamaualalo atu ile mamalu ole tatou aiga potopoto. Ae maise ai si ou uso ia M&M. I hope i didnt offend anyone as of the comments i posted the last time. I am sorry!

As for the BA? i like it so much because it the only place i can have a good time. Plus, it seems like everyone knows everybody at the BA’s. TRUST ME, I KNOW. i also like to appologise to “RevD” for blastin out like i did when i last posted. Sorry, i didnt meant. *(*tears running down my face*) it wasnt my intention to offend anyone. I just wanted to let out a happy news or you know when you make a new friend. Especially when that person is as good of a friend as it could be. But, its done, its in the past and its that time again: The Wait for the weekend-lol. ok, i need to make my exit from here. Im meeting SOMEONE for lunch! hope he’s still not pissed-off at me - hehehe!

    Good Day Aye,
    Kiwibabe.

Damn mah bad to all my uso’s and the sweet sexy ladies up in here, I kinda been on a busy streak lately seeing as the summer has kicked in and gotten rowdy. First a big shot out to all the regs Rev. D, tamasamoa, M, EQ, Savage, and GW. Welcome to the party aiga Kiwi!

I’m glad you noticed the changes Savage, the Bad Boys and I have been reworkin’ the play lists to make sure we accommodate the stable mature crowds. You’re right about them youngin’s being hella annoying, I kid ya’ll not they hella get on my nerves so till we can get in the bands we’re adjustin’ to give everyone some easy listenin’ music in addition to the disco favorites we all grew up with.

The part with more vents and air, and the limited space…. sorry ladies and gents that one is way outta our hands but like always, we’ll aim at makin’ things happen so a suggestion to the owner is definitely a must.

I’m really liking the fact that the more mature crowds are returning, most of em have already been requestin’ the classics so part of keeping myself busy over the week was trackin’ down those oldies and gettin’ them ready for the B.A. Any of you have suggestions of songs to add to the play list?

Before I end this comment I want to warn you all about drinking corona then switching over to Heinikin (damn i don’t think I spelled it right) after Friday night I woke up with the worst friggin’ hangover since I’ve landed on the rock back in 06, I haven’t had one that messed up since my grad party back in Frisko! Damn big warning there, and DAMN WE OUT OF MGD OVER AT THE B.A. it’s a damn friggin’ conspiracy, we should all go on STRIKE and force the BIG BADDIES to release the JUICE before we start holdin’ hostages LMAO! Well that’s all the 411’s I got for now, holla people!

    Good Afternoon Errbody!

Well another week started and on the verge of being over! Welcome to the famaree Kiwibabe! No need for apologies here on our family site! hehehe We’re all one big happy fambam, right Rev D?! I was at the BA on Friday, and it was kinda rockin’ with everyone enjoying themselves. I noticed the BAD BOYS were not at their usual spot, but took the party to the front at the other end of the bar! i wasn’t there Saturday, but I heard! Packed to da MAX!!! Hi M! Please tell me you’re going back to the BA?! DJ Z is rockin’ it but I personally miss hearing the band play. No offense bruddah Z! But it’s just attracting some of the wrong influence, especially for visitors to our shores (Kiwibabe) We don’t want to give off the wrong impression! Especially “our” spot the BA! Shout outs to Bruddah Z, Rev D, Samoan Savage, TamaSamoa, M&M, and the MIA GW? Where ya @ ? Well hope errbody has a great week and see ya when I see ya when “WE EVA IN DA CLUB”! Stay safe!
